By the way, how is your day so far? Mine started a bit boring, because I had to go to fitness from my mom haha, and because my friend couldn't go I had to go alone.. Fortunately it wasn't that busy, because I look really bad without eyeliner and with my hair in a ponytail haha! Tonight my friends are coming over to celebrate my birthday, although it was 4 weeks ago... We're going to the hungergames! I'm so excited to finally see it, you have no idea. Trouwens, hoe is jullie dag tot nu toe? Die van mij begon een beetje saai, omdat ik naar fitness moest van mijn moeder haha, en omdat mijn vriendin niet kon moest ik alleen.. Gelukkig was het niet zo druk, want ik zie er echt niet uit zonder eyeliner en met mijn haar in een staart haha! Vanavond komen mijn vriendinnen om mijn verjaardag te vieren, ook al was die 4 weken geleden... We gaan naar the hungergames! Ik ben zo opgewonden dat ik hem eindelijk ga zien, jullie hebben geen idee. Maar goed, geniet van jullie weekend! xoxo

READY FOR SUMMER part 3 "Safe and Sound"

I love my new purse! It´s from Mango, and I got if for my birthday. You can wear it as a clutch, like in this outfit, and as a normal shoulder bag (I'll show you later). So, this is the third and final part of my ready for summer photoshoot! It's called Safe and Sound, named after the song of Taylor Swift for the Hunger Games haha. I'm going to watch it Saturday with my friends, for my birthday (yeah it's a bit late). I'm so excited, because I love the books and I think the movie is going to be amazing! Oh and by the way, back to the pictures, on some pictures you can see the shadow of my sister who is photographing me. Although it doesn't look very "professional" I think it's kinda funny, so I didn't edit the pictures. Okay, now I'm going back to my homework, I've got a chemistry test tomorrow.. :( xoxo

Ik hou van mijn nieuwe tas! Hij is van Mango, en ik kreeg hem voor mijn verjaardag. Je kan hem dragen als een clutch, zoals in deze outfit, en als een normale schoudertas (laat ik jullie later wel zien). Dus, dit is het derde en laatste deel van mijn ready for summer fotoshoot! Ik heb hem Safe and Sound genoemd, naar het liedje van Taylor Swift voor the Hunger Games haha. Ik ga hem zaterdag met mijn vrienden kijken, nog voor mijn verjaardag (ja een beetje laat). Ik heb er heel veel zin in, omdat ik de boeken echt heel leuk vind, en ik denk dat de film geweldig wordt! Oh en trouwens, terug naar de foto's, op sommige foto's kun je de schaduw van mijn zusje zien die mij aan het fotograferen is. Ook al ziet het er niet echt "professioneel" uit, ik vind het best wel grappig dus ik heb de foto's niet bewerkt. Oke, nu ga ik terug naar mijn huiswerk, ik heb een scheikunde proefwerk morgen.. :( xoxo

READY FOR SUMMER part 2 "the playground"

I like this outfit! It's not really that special or something, but I think it's great for spring/summer. I bought the shorts at H&M last week, and I really like the color! The top is from Only, last year's collection. This part of the photoshoot was by the way the most fun to do haha, and that some pictures were a bit childish doesn't matter :)

Ik vind deze outfit leuk! Hij is niet heel special of zo, maar ik vind 'm goed voor in de lente/zomer. Ik kocht de shorts bij H&M vorige week, en ik vind de kleur heel leuk! De top is van Only, de collectie van vorig jaar. Dit deel van de fotoshoot was trouwens het leukst om te doen haha, en dat sommige foto's een beetje kinderachtig waren maakt niet uit. :)

Yesterday me and my little sister had a photoshoot, it was really nice! The weather was nice, and we just had a lot of fun. Some pictures have turned uit to be a little crazy, but that's okay. There are two other parts (with other outfits), that I will show you tomorrow & the day after.

Gisteren hadden ik en mijn zusje een fotoshoot, het was erg leuk! Het weer was goed, en we hadden gewoon erg veel plezier. Sommige foto's zijn een beetje gek geworden, maar dat is niet zo erg. Er zijn nog twee andere delen (met andere outfits), die ik jullie morgen & de dag daarna zal laten zien. 

NEW IN || Magazines

Today was a very relaxed day! I just sat in the sun, ate some icecream, and I bought some magazines: the Elle, the Elle "stijlbijbel" (style bible) and the FIRST dutch Vogue! I haven't read it yet, just looked through it a bit. I'm really curious and excited that the Netherlands has their own Vogue too now! Tomorrow I'm going to spend my entire day on doing homework, reading my magazines and maybe making some outfit photos, if my little sister is up to it :). What are your plans? xoxo

Vandaag was een hele relaxde dag! Ik heb een beetje in de zon gezeten, wat ijs gegeten en ik heb een paar tijdschriften gekocht: de Elle, de Elle "stijlbijbel" en de EERSTE nederlandse Vogue! Ik heb hem nog niet gelezen, alleen er een beetje door heen gekeken. Ik ben heel nieuwsgierig en opgewonden dat Nederland nu ook hun eigen Vogue heeft! Morgen ga ik de hele dag huiswerk maken, mijn tijdschriften lezen en misschien wat outfit foto's maken als mijn zusje zin heeft :). Wat zijn jouw plannen? xoxo 

Daily used products

These are the products I really use every day. For a long time I also used foundation every day, but I decided to invest in skinproducts instead. So, the products I use every day are:

• Peel soft scrub from Nivea. This really makes my skin look better, less impurities and it makes my skin softer! Very nice. :)
• My Skin moisturizing cream-gel from Essence. I use this as my day cream. It's really fresh, with a smell of cucumber, so it's nice to use it when I'm still tired..
• Strawberry Kiss Labello. I've had many different lipbalms, but this is definitely my favourite! It smells like strawberries, it makes my lips less dry and gives them even a subtile red color. 
• Define a lash mascara from Maybelline New York. Especially in combination with a lash curler makes this mascara my eyelashes longer, and it curls them a bit.
• Contour clubbing eyepencil from Bourjois. It's waterproof, and it really stays the whole day!

So, this are the products I use every day! If you want to see a review of any of these, just ask! I know this is   a bit short post, but I'm really busy with school, and I really wanted to post something today. Also, I hope you don't mind I haven't done this post in dutch as well! Lauren Conrad - Style

The book Style by Lauren Conrad was one of my birthday presents, and I'm really happy with it! Although I haven't read it completely, just some small pieces, but I think it's really useful, and she really has some  handy advice! So, I recommend it to everyone who loves fashion, and being busy with it! Dutch people can buy it for €15 on bol.com: Lauren Conrad - Style. By the way, I also got 4 cards with it, really nice!

Het boek Style van Lauren Conrad was een van mijn verjaardagscadeau's, en ik ben er heel blij mee! Ik heb het nog niet helemaal gelezen, alleen wat kleine stukjes, maar ik denk dat het heel nuttig is, en ze geeft echt handig advies! Dus, ik raad het iedereen aan die van mode houdt, en er graag mee bezig is! Nederlandse mensen kunnen het voor €15 kopen op bol.com: Lauren Conrad - Style. Just wanted to show you guys the items I definitely want in my wardrobe in spring 2012. I don't really look at trends, I like to just wear what I like, but two trends I think are coming back in the spring are pastel and colourblocking. So these items are kinda based on that. Ik wou jullie alleen even de items die ik zeker in mijn garderobe wil voor de lente 2012. Ik kijk niet echt vaak naar trends, ik draag gewoon wat ik leuk vind, maar twee trends die denk ik terugkomen in de lente zijn pastel en colourblocking. Dus deze items zijn daar soort van op gebaseerd. Ook vond ik deze looks op lookbook.nu, een pastel look en een colourblocking look. Ik vind het ze echt leuk gecombineerd, en jij? Eye of the tiger

Hello! I don't have much time today, but I just wanted to show you my outfit of yesterday. The sun was shining in my eyes, and I couldn't get my sunglasses so yeah... haha (: I bought the blazer & top  by the way at H&M, the pants at Cool Cat and the shoes in Italy, on the market. 

Hoi! Ik heb niet zoveel tijd vandaag, maar ik wou jullie nog even mijn outfit van gisteren laten zien. De zon scheen in mijn ogen, en ik kon mijn zonnebril niet pakken dus ja... haha (: Ik kocht de blazer & top trouwens bij H&M, de broek bij Cool Cat en de schoenen in Italië, op de markt.

It's a sunny day!

God, I love this weather! Finally I can just sit in my garden again, and enjoy the sun. And of course that's exactly what I did! Me and my little sister Mayke (the girl on the last 2 pictures) made a lot of pictures, and these are the best of them. I think some of them are quite nice! So, are you enjoying the weather as well?

God, wat hou ik van dit weer! Eindelijk kan ik weer gewoon in mijn tuin zitten, en van de zon genieten. En natuurlijk is dat precies wat ik deed! Mijn kleine zusje Mayke (het meisje op de 2 laatste foto's) en ik hebben een heleboel foto's gemaakt, en dit zijn de beste daarvan. Ik vind sommigen best mooi! En, geniet jij ook zo van dit weer?

Welcome to the 60's!

I think what happens in the past, should remain in the past. That excludes fashion of course! I love looking at pictures of how people dressed up in the past, it's a big inspiration. That doesn't only count for me I suppose, because we can all see how old trends keep coming back. I think it's interesting to wonder what other trends are going to come back, and be a part of our fashion industry again. That's why I made a collage based on the 60's today, as an inspiration for you and me! If you like, I can do this more often, with other subjects. So, what inspires you? What do you think of the past of fashion?

Ik vind dat wat in het verleden is gebeurd, in het verleden moet blijven. Dat geldt natuurlijk niet voor mode! Ik hou er van om naar foto's van hoe mensen er vroeger uit zagen te kijken, dat is echt grote inspiratiebron. Dat geldt niet alleen voor mij denk ik, omdat we allemaal kunnen zien hoe oude trends steeds weer terug komen. Ik vind het interessant om er over na te denken welke andere trends weer terug zullen komen, en weer een deel van onze mode industrie zullen zijn. Dat is waarom ik vandaag een collage gebaseerd op de jaren 60 gemaakt heb, als een inspiratie voor jullie en mij! Als jullie het leuk vinden kan ik dit vaker doen, met andere onderwerpen. En, wat insoireert jou? Wat vind jij van het verleden van mode?

Update!

Hey! De laatste tijd heb ik weer weinig gepost, ik weet het... Ik heb het best druk met school, en meestal plan ik dan een paar posts in het weekend, maar aangezien ik zondag jarig was had ik daar geen tijd voor! Ik heb wel een hoop ideeën voor posts, dus die komen er binnenkort aan. Oh ja, en nog een kleine mededeling: vanaf de volgende post ga ik in nederlands én engels schrijven. Ik merk dat ik nog steeds dagelijks buitenlandse bezoekers krijg, en omdat de vertaalgadget nou niet bepaald goed werkt, heb ik dit besloten als oplossing! Het liefst zou ik in nog meer talen schrijven, maar helaas kan ik dat niet! Hopelijk hou ik hier zo veel mogelijk mensen tevreden mee. (:

Van bepaalde webshops kan ik écht blij worden, en vandaag heb ik er weer zo eentje ontdekt, genaamd Dress Republic! Ik ben even snel door alles wat ze hadden gegaan, en w-a-u-w. Ze hebben echt veel leuke dingen, voor niet te veel geld. Ik zal jullie even een paar items van mijn wishlist laten zien om een idee te krijgen!
